The platform is generous and big enough to ride comfortably in normal shoes. The clipping mechanism is even better, in my opinion, than usual from Shimano, being easier to clip and release and, even adjusted to the minimum force, holding the shoes well (I manage to lift an electric bike off the ground, in fear of the pedal comes off unexpectedly). It is intercompatible with other cleats from Shimano, even if they are of a different reference than those that come with the pedals.

Bought for my wife's GRAVEL bike. She has never been clipped. In reality, I think she was afraid because I used a pedal that had the clip too tight. So she saw me fall a lot when walking clipped. Then I changed the pedal and I never pedaled with a clip again. That's why we found this pedal with the information that it has a less stiff spring, and is easy to remove from the foot. She thought it was cool to have a clip on so I ended up buying one for myself too....

They are good for beginners, for my personal taste the only 2 things that could be improved are to make them a little bigger, since they have 2 sides and the material is plastic, I would have liked everything to be aluminum, not just the central inserts

They are made of steel and plastic. I don´t know the weight but they are not light. I would say that they are suitable for cycle touring

The only thing that accompanies the pedals are the cleats that are installed in the shoes to be anchored in them.

Shoe grip on the pedal

These pedals have a flat platform area, without protruding "nails" for a better grip on the shoe. Do they have good grip as designed? It gives me the feeling that the foot would slide. Thanks in advance

Hello. I only use the part of the pedal that does not have the cleats in urban areas, and here they are safe and perfectly fulfill their mission. In other circumstances I do not know its performance.
