The new Shimano Ultegra R8000 crankset looks a lot like the most recent Shimano Dura Ace R9100 crankset.The set has four asymmetric arms,which are just a little lighter than the previous version (approx. 2 grams)The outer chainring is extremely stiff, and because of the Hollowglide technique also extremely light.This crankset, with a 110 mm BCD, can perfectly be used with wider tires.Shimano has already taken this into account, even when you prefer a larger shifting range.Benefit from an accurate forward pedaling movement, and choose for this Shimano Ultegra crank like many other cyclists.

The truth is that I bought it thinking that it was made of carbon fiber, when it arrived I saw that it was not, but in any case it is very light. Wanted to go from 172.5 to 170mm cranks, for several reasons. It did take the items a little while to get to Australia, but worth the wait. New cranks look fantastic especially switching the chain ring to 1x. Also fitted the chain rings on my 'good' bike and it has never been better.

Installed in the central bb90 move, it got great! Previously used 50/34 with 11/28, however was out of step with the pedal ... With the 52/36 and 11/28 was more adequate and balanced pedaling, maintained a higher speed at lower speeds. Shifting gears became more efficient.

Yes, I have it with the combination you mention and it´s perfect.

Yes. All Shimano 11 speed cranks and cassettes are interchangeable with 11 speed systems, and so is this one. This goes for all 11 speed groupsets by the way, from 105 to Dura Ace. You might need to readjust the derailleur a bit by lowering the derailleur when mounting the 50/34 over a 52/36.

Any Shimano is good for you, whether it´s 105, Ultegra or Durace, because you only change the material of the bearings. I have ridden in 105 and later changed to Durace and without problem.

Shimano seem to be trying to shift Ultegra into the Premier market, and in my humble opinion they atr on track. Shimano make the best cranksets in the world, in my opinion.
