It is compatible with Shimano but has a small problem. Increasing gear (1 -> 2 -> 3) is all ok. But when reducing it jumps from 3 directly to 1 (3 -> 1). In other words, if you are in 3 and want to go to 2, you have to do (3 -> 1 -> 2). It´s a small defect or feature but other than that it works great and is cheap.

Hello, no this is not normal. This shifter is compatible with Shimano because it is the same pull. The problem is either a product defect or too much derailleur cable tension. Greg.
