If you have Campagnolo or Fulcrum wheels these are the only break pads that will give you top performance. Tried a pair of top of the line break pads from another top brand and that did not work out well. They were noisy and not efficient at all leaving a trail on the wheels. Quite dangerous on the descents.

No you should not use the same pads on carbon and aluminum. Carbon pads won’t brake well on aluminum rims. Pieces of aluminum will also get into the brake pads and destroy your carbon brake track.
